Lea las normas mencionadas a continuación. El incumplimiento de dichas normas podría causar situaciones de peligro. Atención: el producto no se puede utilizar en competiciones oficiales ni extra oficiales, motódromos, circuitos, pistas y otros casos. Atención: la instalación del sistema N-Com Bluetooth kit2 comporta un incremento de peso de alrededor de 60g que se suma al peso del casco y de los otros accesorios. Advertencia: las partes electrónicas del sistema N-Com dentro del casco no son impermeables. Por lo tanto, hay que evitar que se moje el interior del mismo, incluyendo el acolchado de confort, para no causar daños al sistema. Si el agua se enfiltrara dentro del casco, extraer el sistema N-Com y el relleno de confort del interior del casco y ponerlo a secar; desconectar el conector de la batería y secarlo. 1.1. Todas las operaciones que se deban hacer con el sistema N-Com deben ser con el vehículo detenido. En particular: • Programar el teléfono para la respuesta automática (ver las instrucciones correspondientes al teléfono para efectuar dicha operación). • Si el teléfono no tuviera esta función, antes de responder a una llamada, detener el vehículo en un lugar apropiado respetando las Normas de Tráfico y sólo entonces responder a la llamada. • No realizar llamadas mientras conduce. Detener el vehículo en un sitio seguro observando las Normas de Tráfico, sólo entonces hacer la llamada. • Regular el volumen de manera que no cree molestias o distracciones al conducir y al mismo tempo permita percibir nítidamente los ruidos externos. • No utilice el móvil ni otros dispositivos conectados al N-Com mientras conduce. • En cualquier caso, el respeto de la ley y la conducción de la motocicleta tienen prioridad absoluta. 1.3. Encendido en ambientes seguros • Para el uso del N-Com respetar toda las restricciones e indicaciones relacionadas con el uso de los teléfonos móviles. • No encender el teléfono móvil ni el sistema N-Com cuando esté prohibido su uso o cuando el aparato pueda causar interferencias o situaciones de peligro. 6 Fcc ID: WAWNCOM2 1.2. Uso adecuado Utilizar el dispositivo sólo en la posición normal, como aparece descrito en los documentos del producto. No desmontar, ni forzar o modificar ninguna parte del sistema N-Com. Atención: Regular el volumen del sistema N-Com (donde sea previsto) y de las fuentes de audio conectadas al mismo, antes de utilizar el sistema en la calle. Atención: El uso del volumen demasiado elevado podría causar daños al oído. En caso de mal funcionamiento, diríjase siempre a un vendedor autorizado. El casco es un producto de seguridad, el uso forzado del mismo y/o del sistema eletrónico en su interior, no sólo causará la invalidez de la garantía del producto, sino también situaciones de peligro. 1.7. Accesorios y baterías • Utilizar exclusivamente los tipos de baterías, cargadores de baterías, y accesorios, aprobados por Nolan para el modelo del dispositivo específico. • El uso de tipos diferentes a aquellos indicados podría resultar peligrosos e incidir en la anulación de cualquier tipo de garantía. • Para la disponibilidad de los accesorios aprobados, dirigirse al proprio vendedor. • Cuando se desconecta un cable de alimentación de cualquier accessorio o del cargador de baterías, tirar del enchufe y no del cable. • No utilizar las baterías para usos diferentes de los señalados. • No utilizar nunca un cargador o baterías dañadas. • No causar cortecircuito con la batería. • Mantener la batería a una temperatura comprendida entre entre 10°C y 35°C. • Peligro de incendio o explosión: ¡No arrojar las baterías al fuego ni exponerlas a temperaturas elevadas! • No arrojar las baterías junto con los desechos domésticos. 11 3. INSTALACIÓN Advertencia: Para utilizar el sistema N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 es necesario que el casco Nolan esté equipado con el Basic Kit (Basic Kit2), vendido por separado. Nota: Antes de utilizar el sistema N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 es necesario instalar y cargar la batería (ver capítulo 13) Fig. 1 Fig. 2 Fig. 3 • Instalar el Basic Kit (o Basic Kit2) en el casco, seguir las instrucciones correspondientes • Después de instalar el Basic Kit dentro del casco, aplicar la junta selladora adhesiva alrededor del conector como a continuación: - Extraer la pestaña de protección N-Com del casco ( Fig.1) - Extraer la película protectiva de la junta. - Aplicarla alrededor del conector como aparece en la Fig 2 y Fig. 3 11 3. INSTALACIÓN Advertencia: Para utilizar el sistema N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 es necesario que el casco Nolan esté equipado con el Basic Kit (Basic Kit2), vendido por separado. Nota: Antes de utilizar el sistema N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 es necesario instalar y cargar la batería (ver capítulo 13) Fig. 1 Fig. 2 Fig. 3 • Instalar el Basic Kit (o Basic Kit2) en el casco, seguir las instrucciones correspondientes • Después de instalar el Basic Kit dentro del casco, aplicar la junta selladora adhesiva alrededor del conector como a continuación: - Extraer la pestaña de protección N-Com del casco ( Fig.1) - Extraer la película protectiva de la junta. - Aplicarla alrededor del conector como aparece en la Fig 2 y Fig. 3
12 Fig. 4 Fig. 5 Fig. 6 • Colocar la batería en el compartimiento dentro del Basic Kit (ver instrucciones específicas con el Basic Kit). • Colocar la e-box en el compartimiento correspondiente (Fig 4). Primero introducir la parte anterior, luego apretar la e-box hasta que se acoplen perfectamente los dos ganchos de fijación (Fig 5). Para extraer la e-box ejercer presión contemporáneamente sobre ambos ganchos cursores hasta la expulsión de la misma (Fig 6). Advertencia: No dejar el casco expuesto a los agentes atmosféricos sin la e-box o la pestaña de protección en dotación con el casco. Para evitar desconexiones accidentales de la e-box del casco, es posible activar el “Dispositivo de seguridad e-box” como aparece en la Fig 7, prestar atención a colocarlo completamente en su lugar. Para quitar el “Dispositivo de seguridad e-box” levantar la parte inferior como aparece en la Fig 8. 13 4. FUNCIONES BÁSICAS Todas las funciones del sistema N-Com se activan con las 3 teclas “”, “on” y “”. Cada comando enviado al sistema se confirma con la emisión de un tono agudo reconocible, que varía según la función. De esta manera es posible utilizar todas las funciones con el casco puesto. El tipo de comando enviado al sistema depende de cuánto tiempo se mantiene pulsada la tecla. Encendido Mantener pulsada la tecla “on” durante 4 segundos aproximadamente hasta que se enciendan los led y se oye un tono en los altavoces. Apagado Mantener pulsada la tecla “on” durante 4 segundos hasta que se apaguen los led y el tono en los altavoces Subir el Volume Pulsar brevemente la tecla “” para subir el volumen El volumen máximo se señala con un tono doble Bajar el volumen Pulsar brevemente la tecla “” para bajar el volumen El volumen mínimo se señala con un tono doble Atención: escuchar otros aparatos no debe influir en la conducción del vehículo, esto último tiene la prioridad abosulta. Intervenir en los aparatos electrónicos y en el sistema N-com con el vehículo detenido; respete el Código del Tránsito. Atención: El uso del volumen muy elevado puede causar distracción durante la conducción del vehículo y provocar situaciones de peligro o reducir la capacidad de percepción de los ruidos externos. Atención: Regular el volumen del sistema N-Com (donde sea previsto) y de las fuentes de audio conectadas al mismo, antes de utilizar el sistema en la calle. Atención: Regular el volumen del sistema N-Com y de las fuentes de audio conectadas al mismo para evitar la reproducción audio con el volumen alto. La constante exposición al volumen elevado pudiera dañar el oído. 13 4. FUNCIONES BÁSICAS Todas las funciones del sistema N-Com se activan con las 3 teclas “”, “on” y “”. Cada comando enviado al sistema se confirma con la emisión de un tono agudo reconocible, que varía según la función. De esta manera es posible utilizar todas las funciones con el casco puesto. El tipo de comando enviado al sistema depende de cuánto tiempo se mantiene pulsada la tecla. Encendido Mantener pulsada la tecla “on” durante 4 segundos aproximadamente hasta que se enciendan los led y se oye un tono en los altavoces. Apagado Mantener pulsada la tecla “on” durante 4 segundos hasta que se apaguen los led y el tono en los altavoces Subir el Volume Pulsar brevemente la tecla “” para subir el volumen El volumen máximo se señala con un tono doble Bajar el volumen Pulsar brevemente la tecla “” para bajar el volumen El volumen mínimo se señala con un tono doble Atención: escuchar otros aparatos no debe influir en la conducción del vehículo, esto último tiene la prioridad abosulta. Intervenir en los aparatos electrónicos y en el sistema N-com con el vehículo detenido; respete el Código del Tránsito. Atención: El uso del volumen muy elevado puede causar distracción durante la conducción del vehículo y provocar situaciones de peligro o reducir la capacidad de percepción de los ruidos externos. FUNCIONAMIENTO CON EL TELEFONO MÓVIL BLUETOOTH N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 está provisto de los perfiles Bluetooth HSP (Headset profile) y HFP (Handsfree profile) para permitir la conexión a los móviles y a otros dispositivos Bluetooth que dispongan de uno de éstos perfiles. Si el teléfono dispone de ambos perfiles, el sistema escoje automáticamente con cuál conectarse. El sistema Bluetooth Kit2 funciona con el teléfono móvil si éste último ha sido acoplado al sistema N-Com. 5.1. Acoplamiento con un teléfono Bluetooth (u otros dispositivos Bluetooth) Para que dos dispositivos Bluetooth puedan comunicar entre sí, deben acoplarse, o sea que deben reconocerse. El sistema N-Com es reconocido por el teléfono como un auricular Bluetooth. Consulte en el manual de su teléfono, en el punto acoplamiento de los dispositivos Bluetooth, para comprobar el procedimiento necesario que varía según el modelo utilizado. Una vez comprendido el procedimiento, acople su telefóno móvil con el Bluetooth Kit 2. 1. Compruebe que el Bluetooth Kit2 esté apagado 2. Pulse la tecla central “on”. Pasados los 4 segundos iniciales el sistema se enciende; mantener pulsado por 4 segundos más hasta que el Led parpadee rápidamente y el tono emitido por el altavoz sea agudo; significa que está en modalidad de acoplamiento. 3. Mientras el casco esté en modalidad acoplamiento, realizar la búsqueda de los dispositivos Bluetooth según el procedimiento del propio teléfono móvil. 4. El nombre “N-Com 2.x”, junto con los datos del fabricante, aparecerá en su teléfono en el listado de los dispositivo disponibles. 5. Seleccione en el teléfono el dispositivo N-Com. 6. Introduzca el código 0000 ( cuatro ceros) cuando se pida la contraseña. 7. El casco aprobará el acoplamiento con un tono en los altavoces y los Led dejarán de parpadear. 14 5. 15 Nota: si fuera necesario repetir la operación, apagar el sistema y volver al punto 1). La operación de acoplamiento se puede repetir cuantas veces sean necesarias sin riesgos de daños al sistema. 8. Apague y vuelva a encender el teléfono y el sistema Bluetooth Kit2 para memorizar los datos del acoplamiento Nota: Si al encenderlo el Bluetooth Kit2 no se conectara automáticamente, realice la primera conexión desde el teléfono, seleccionando el dispositivo N-Com del listado y pulsando “Conectar”. De esta manera cada vez que se vuelva a encender, el Bluetooth buscará automáticamente el teléfono. Nota: el acoplamiento se almacena en la memoria del casco y del teléfono y no se pierde aunque se apague. Este procedimiento se realiza solamente una vez, Nota: Il sistema N-Com puede memorizar varios dispositivos Bluetooth (también un casco para la comunicación con intercomunicador). Es posible acoplar N-Com a varios teléfonos (o navegadores GPS Bluetooth, radio Bluetooth, etc) sin repetir la operación de acoplamiento. N-com buscará por orden los últimos 3 dispositivos acoplados y se conectará al primer dispositivo disponible. Si el dispositivo recién acoplado y conectado no resultara en la lista de los últimos tres o no se conectara automáticamente, realice la conexión manual manteniendo pulsada la tecla “on” durante 2 segundos (tono agudo) o conectarse al teléfono 5.2. Función “reset” acoplamiento Es posible eliminar de la memoria del sistema todos los dispositivos acoplados. Esta operación es irreversible; después del “reset” será necesario volver a acoplar el teléfono (u otros dispositivos Bluetooth compatibles). Para anular todos los dispositivos acoplados con anterioridad, hacer lo siguiente: • Llevar el sistema a la modalidad acoplamiento (pulsar “on” hasta el parpadeo rápido de los led). • Mientras el casco esté en modalidad acoplamiento, pulsar contemporáneamente las teclas “” y “” durante 2 segundos hasta escuchar un tono agudo. El sistema emitirá un tono agudo especial de aprobación. 15 Nota: si fuera necesario repetir la operación, apagar el sistema y volver al punto 1). La operación de acoplamiento se puede repetir cuantas veces sean necesarias sin riesgos de daños al sistema. 8. 16 5.3. Funciones con teléfono móvil Para realizar operaciones con el teléfono móvil es necesario que se haya acoplado y que esté conectado al Bluetooth Kit2. Cuando el teléfono esté conectado al Bluetooth Kit2, la conexión aparecerá en la pantalla del móvil (el símbolo varía según el teléfono) , por ejemplo: auriculares, coche, ícono Bluetooth , etc..) La conexión se ejecuta automáticamente al encender el sistema. Es posible conectarse o desconectarse accionando el casco (véase el esquema de controles) o el teléfono. Respuesta llamada Pulsar brevemente cualquier tecla al escuchar el timbre. Colgar / rechazar llamada Para interrumpir una llamada o rechazar una llamada entrante, mantener pulsada la tecla “on” durante 2 segundos (hasta escuchar el tono agudo). Nota: No es posible rechazar una llamada desde teléfonos que se acoplan en HSP (Headset profile) Llamada vocal Para realizar llamadas vocales (para los teléfonos que lo permiten) o dar órdenes vocales, mantener pulsado “on” durante 2 segundos (hasta escuchar el tono agudo). Repetir último número Para volver a llamar al último número, pulsar y luego liberar contemporáneamente las teclas “” y “” Conexión teléfono (perfil HFP) Para conectar el teléfono (u otros dispositivos Bluetooth) al Bluetooth Kit2, mantener pulsado “on” durante 2 segundos (hasta escuchar el tono agudo). Desconexión teléfono (perfil HFP) Para desconectar el teléfono (u otros dispositivos Bluetooth) al Bluetooth kit2, pulsar y mantener pulsado contemporáneamente las teclas “” y “” durante 2 segundos. Transferir una llamada (perfil HFP) Para transferir una llamada en curso del casco al teléfono, mantener pulsadas contemporáneamente las teclas “” y “” durante 2 segundos. 16 5.3. Funciones con teléfono móvil Para realizar operaciones con el teléfono móvil es necesario que se haya acoplado y que esté conectado al Bluetooth Kit2. Cuando el teléfono esté conectado al Bluetooth Kit2, la conexión aparecerá en la pantalla del móvil (el símbolo varía según el teléfono) , por ejemplo: auriculares, coche, ícono Bluetooth , etc..) La conexión se ejecuta automáticamente al encender el sistema. Es posible conectarse o desconectarse accionando el casco (véase el esquema de controles) o el teléfono. Respuesta llamada Pulsar brevemente cualquier tecla al escuchar el timbre. Desconexión teléfono (perfil HFP) Para desconectar el teléfono (u otros dispositivos Bluetooth) al Bluetooth kit2, pulsar y mantener pulsado contemporáneamente las teclas “” y “” durante 2 segundos. Transferir una llamada (perfil HFP) Para transferir una llamada en curso del casco al teléfono, mantener pulsadas contemporáneamente las teclas “” y “” durante 2 segundos.
17 Atención: Respetar todas las leyes vigentes que regulan la circulación vial. Durante la conducción, las manos deben ocuparse sólo de conducir el vehículo. Cualquier operación en el sistema N-Com debe realizarse con el vehículo detenido. 6. INTERCOMUNICADOR POR CABLE Para utilizar N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 como intecomunicador por cable es necesario utilizar un cable Intercom Wire (vendido por separado), que es el cable de conexión entre los dos cascos. • Preparar el casco del piloto con el Basic Kit y el Bluetooth kit2. • Preparar el casco del pasajero con el Basic Kit (introducir la tarjeta electrónica base en su compartimiento) • Conectar el casco del piloto con el casco del pasajero mediante el cable Intercom wire como a continuación: ¾ Conector A (más pequeño, en forma de “L”) del casco piloto (dotado de Bluetooth kit2). ¾ Conector B (más grande) del casco pasajero. • Encender la e-box Bluetooth: la comunicación intercomunicador entre los dos cascos se activará • Es posible activar y desactivar alternativamente, la modalidad intercomunicador pulsando brevemente la tecla “on”. 17 Atención: Respetar todas las leyes vigentes que regulan la circulación vial. Durante la conducción, las manos deben ocuparse sólo de conducir el vehículo. Cualquier operación en el sistema N-Com debe realizarse con el vehículo detenido. 6. INTERCOMUNICADOR POR CABLE Para utilizar N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 como intecomunicador por cable es necesario utilizar un cable Intercom Wire (vendido por separado), que es el cable de conexión entre los dos cascos. • Preparar el casco del piloto con el Basic Kit y el Bluetooth kit2. • Preparar el casco del pasajero con el Basic Kit (introducir la tarjeta electrónica base en su compartimiento) • Conectar el casco del piloto con el casco del pasajero mediante el cable Intercom wire como a continuación: ¾ Conector A (más pequeño, en forma de “L”) del casco piloto (dotado de Bluetooth kit2). ¾ Conector B (más grande) del casco pasajero. • Encender la e-box Bluetooth: la comunicación intercomunicador entre los dos cascos se activará • Es posible activar y desactivar alternativamente, la modalidad intercomunicador pulsando brevemente la tecla “on”.
18 7. INTERCOMUNICADOR POR BLUETOOTH Para utilizar N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 como intercomunicador sin cables es necesario que ambos cascos , el del piloto y el del pasajero, tengan el Bluetooth kit. Nota: El sistema Bluetooth kit2 es también compatible con un casco Nolan con Bluetooth kit o Bluetooth kit2. Para que dos dispositivos Bluetooth Kit puedan comunicar entre sí, deben acoplarse, o sea que deben reconocerse. 7.1. Acoplar dos Bluetooth Kit 1) Llevar los dos sistemas Bluetooth kit2 a la modalidad de acoplamiento ( con el sistema apagado mantener pulsada la tecla “on” hasta que ambos leds parpadeen rápidamente) según se describe en el capítulo 5.1 2) Cuando ambos cascos estén en modalidad de acoplamiento, pulsar brevemente la tecla “on” del casco del Piloto. Sin esta operación no será posible acoplar los dispositivos correctamente . 3) Después de algunos segundos los cascos se reconocerán, se emitirá un tono para señalar el acoplamiento correcto y será posible la comunicación mediante intercomunicador. 4) Apagar y volver a encender ambos sistemas para memorizar los datos del acoplamiento. Si la operación no resultara, apagar ambos cascos y repetir la operación desde el punto 1). Nota: Si antes de acoplar los sistemas Bluetooth Kit se había acoplado un teléfono móvil, comprobar que dicho acoplamiento esté todavía operativo. De lo contrario volver a acoplar el teléfono. Todos los dispositivos acoplados quedan memorizados cuando se apagan los cascos y permanecen en memoria cuando se vuelven a encender. El procedimiento para acoplar los dispositivos se repetirá sólo en caso de sistemas diferentes de los que han sido acoplados. 18 7. INTERCOMUNICADOR POR BLUETOOTH Para utilizar N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 como intercomunicador sin cables es necesario que ambos cascos , el del piloto y el del pasajero, tengan el Bluetooth kit. Nota: El sistema Bluetooth kit2 es también compatible con un casco Nolan con Bluetooth kit o Bluetooth kit2. Para que dos dispositivos Bluetooth Kit puedan comunicar entre sí, deben acoplarse, o sea que deben reconocerse. 7.1. Acoplar dos Bluetooth Kit 1) Llevar los dos sistemas Bluetooth kit2 a la modalidad de acoplamiento ( con el sistema apagado mantener pulsada la tecla “on” hasta que ambos leds parpadeen rápidamente) según se describe en el capítulo 5.1 2) Cuando ambos cascos estén en modalidad de acoplamiento, pulsar brevemente la tecla “on” del casco del Piloto. Sin esta operación no será posible acoplar los dispositivos correctamente . 3) Después de algunos segundos los cascos se reconocerán, se emitirá un tono para señalar el acoplamiento correcto y será posible la comunicación mediante intercomunicador. 4) Apagar y volver a encender ambos sistemas para memorizar los datos del acoplamiento. Si la operación no resultara, apagar ambos cascos y repetir la operación desde el punto 1). Nota: Si antes de acoplar los sistemas Bluetooth Kit se había acoplado un teléfono móvil, comprobar que dicho acoplamiento esté todavía operativo. De lo contrario volver a acoplar el teléfono. Todos los dispositivos acoplados quedan memorizados cuando se apagan los cascos y permanecen en memoria cuando se vuelven a encender. El procedimiento para acoplar los dispositivos se repetirá sólo en caso de sistemas diferentes de los que han sido acoplados.
19 7.2. Funciones con intercomunicador mediante Bluetooth Encender ambos Bluetooth kit2. En ese momento el casco del Piloto buscará el del Pasajero, estableciendo así la comunicación mediante intercomunicador. Nota: Algunos dispositivos Bluetooth ya conectados al sistema bloquean la conexión automática descrita anteriormente. En esos casos ejecutar la conexión manual, pulsar brevemente la tecla “on”. Es posible activar y desactivar en cualquier momento la comunicación intercomunicador pulsando brevemente la tecla “on” en cualquiera de los dos cascos. Nota: El Bluetooth kit2 pudiera demorarse algunos segundos en encontrar el otro sistema, depende de las conexiones ya activas y de los dispositivos Bluetooth presentes. Después de pulsar la tecla “on” esperar el tiempo necesario para la búsqueda. Nota: Si se enciende primero el casco del piloto o si se perdiera la conexión Bluetooth ( al alejarse más de 10 metros o al desactivar la conexión sin darse cuenta) será suficiente pulsar brevemente la tecla “on” en uno de los dos sistemas para reactivar la búsqueda y la conexión. El sistema dispone de la función “MUTE” que desactiva los micrófonos y deja abierto el canal audio. Esta función puede ser útil para escuchar una fuente de audio eliminando posibles ruidos captados por el micrófono del casco al que se está conectado. Activar / Desactivar modalidad intercomunicador Pulsar brevemente la tecla “on” El sistema pudiera demorarse algunos segundos en encontrar el otro Bluetooth Activar / Desactivar micrófonos (función Mute) Pulsar y mantener pulsada la tecla “” durante unos 4 segundos. 19 7.2. Funciones con intercomunicador mediante Bluetooth Encender ambos Bluetooth kit2. En ese momento el casco del Piloto buscará el del Pasajero, estableciendo así la comunicación mediante intercomunicador. Nota: Algunos dispositivos Bluetooth ya conectados al sistema bloquean la conexión automática descrita anteriormente. En esos casos ejecutar la conexión manual, pulsar brevemente la tecla “on”. Es posible activar y desactivar en cualquier momento la comunicación intercomunicador pulsando brevemente la tecla “on” en cualquiera de los dos cascos. Nota: El Bluetooth kit2 pudiera demorarse algunos segundos en encontrar el otro sistema, depende de las conexiones ya activas y de los dispositivos Bluetooth presentes. Después de pulsar la tecla “on” esperar el tiempo necesario para la búsqueda. Nota: Si se enciende primero el casco del piloto o si se perdiera la conexión Bluetooth ( al alejarse más de 10 metros o al desactivar la conexión sin darse cuenta) será suficiente pulsar brevemente la tecla “on” en uno de los dos sistemas para reactivar la búsqueda y la conexión. El sistema dispone de la función “MUTE” que desactiva los micrófonos y deja abierto el canal audio. Esta función puede ser útil para escuchar una fuente de audio eliminando posibles ruidos captados por el micrófono del casco al que se está conectado. LECTOR MUSICAL BLUETOOTH (PERFIL A2DP) Es posible escuchar música con elevada calidad audio conectando el Bluetooth kit 2 via Bluetooth a un lector musical con protocolo Bluetooth A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile). 8.1. Acoplamiento con dispostivos A2DP Para acoplar un dispostivo equipado con protocolo Bluetooth A2DP seguir las indicaciones para el acoplamiento de un teléfono móvil ( Capítulo 5.1) Si fuera necesario introducir un código, utilizar “0000”. Nota: Si ya se ha acoplado un teléfono dotado con lector musical con perfil Bluetooth A2DP, no será necesario repetir el acoplamiento pues la presencia del protocolo A2DP habrá sido memorizada durante el acoplamiento del móvil. La primera vez que se utilice será necesario conectar el teléfono y accionar el lector musical desde el móvil para que el sistema lo reconozca. 8.2. Funcionamiento con lector musical A2DP La primera vez que se utilice conectar el lector musical (acoplado con anterioridad) según las indicaciones requeridas para el lector musical y accionar la reproducción audio. Después será posible conectarse y accionar la reproducción audio directamente desde el Bluetooth kit2 (para los lectores que lo permiten) Advertencia: El sistema N-Com Bluetooth kit2 está equipado con el protocolo Bluetooth AVCR (Audio Video Remote Control Profile) que permite interrumpir y recomenzar la reproducción musical. Si el lector musical con A2DP no estuviera equipado con el protocolo AVRCP, pudiera no ser posible accionar la reproducción musical desde el Bluetooth kit2 (la interrupción es siempre posible). En este caso será necesario accionar manualmente la reproducción manual desde el lector musical. 20 8. Interrumpir la reproducción musical (Stop) Desconectar lector musical Mantener pulsada la tecla “” durante 2 segundos (tono agudo). La reproducción musical se detiene y el lector musical A2DP se desconecta Nota: Si el lector A2DP es además teléfono móvil, la conexión al móvil permanece activa aunque se apague el lector musical. Atención: Respetar todas las leyes vigentes que regulan la circulación vial. Durante la conducción, las manos deben ocuparse sólo de conducir el vehículo. Cualquier operación en el sistema N-Com debe realizarse con el vehículo detenido. 8.3. Funcionamiento con lector musical A2DP+ intercomunicador Intercomunicador inalámbrico Bluetooth No es posible conectar contemporáneamente un lector musical equipado de A2DP y otro sistema N-Com mediante Bluetooth (modo intercomunicador). • Interrumpir la intercomunicación Bluetooth manualmente ( pulsar “on” brevemente) antes de encender el lector A2DP. • Para recuperar la intercomunicación Bluetooth interrumpir la reproducción musical ( Pulsar “” durante 2 segundos) y conectarse manualmente al intercomunicador (pulsar brevemente “on”). 21 Conectar lector musical A2DP Mantener pulsada la tecla “” durante 2 segundos (tono agudo). 22 Intercomunicador por cable Si se conecta un segundo casco por cable en intercomunicador, éste podrá escuchar el audio del lector musical (audio en Mono) 9. NAVEGADORES SATELITARES El sistema de comunicación Ncom de Nolan es compatible con los navegadores satelitares para motos más difundidos. La conexión con el navegador satelitar puede realizarse por cable (mediante el cable Multimedia Wire”) o por Bluetooth. Para la conexión por Bluetooth, acoplar el GPS al Bluetooth kit2 con el mismo procedimiento del teléfono móvil Bluetooth (ver capítulo 5.1). Conectar el navegador al Bluetooth kit2. Nota: Si el navegador puede conectarse a un teléfono móvil con Bluetooth, será posible recibir el audio de la llamada directamente en el Bluetooth kit2 conectado. Con esta configuración la respuesta a la llamada deberá realizarse desde el Navegador. 10. MODALIDAD REPRODUCCIÓN AUDIO: MONO / STEREO El sistema N-Com Bluetooth kit2 puede funcionar en Mono y Stereo. Bluetooth kit2 reconoce automáticamente el tipo de basic kit utilizado ( Basic kit o Basic kit2) y si el cable de conexión a las fuentes de audio externas es de tipo mono o stereo. El Bluetooth kit2 ha sido programado para cables stereo pero al encender el sistema se realiza un control del tipo de cable conectado. Si tiene intención de conectar un cable Mono, será necesario conectar el cable antes de encender el sistema y de esta manera el sistema funcionará en Mono. 22 Intercomunicador por cable Si se conecta un segundo casco por cable en intercomunicador, éste podrá escuchar el audio del lector musical (audio en Mono) 9. Pulsar la tecla “” durante 2 segundos (tono agudo). Véase también el capítulo 11 para mayor información acerca de los tipos de cables que se pueden conectar. Es posible escuchar en modalidad Stereo con las siguientes configuraciones: • Bluetooth kit2 + Basic Kit2 + cavo “Multimedia Wire2” • Bluetooth kit2 + Basic Kit2 + un lector musical Bluetooth equipado con protocolo A2DP. En todas las otras configuraciones el audio es en modalidad mono. Un segundo casco conectado por intercomunicador por cable o Bluetooth escuchará en mono el audio proveniente del piloto. 11. CONEXIÓN A OTROS PERIFÉRICOS AUDIO El sistema N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 está programado para escuchar diferentes dispositivos audio, que se conectan a través del cable “Multimedia Wire” ( vendido por separado). Es posible escuchar un lector MP3, radio FM, conectarse a un sistema de navegación satelitar, al sistema audio de la moto personal o sino a una radio para comunicarse con otra moto. Los cables de la serie “Multimedia wire” sono del tipo Mono mientras que los cables “Multimedia wire2” son stereo. Para el uso correcto de los cables Mono o stereo con el Bluetooth kit2, véase el cap. 10. 23 Si se utilizaran siempre cables Mono ( Mobile wire o Multimedia wire ) es posible programar el sistema para que funcione siempre con cables Mono. Conectar el periférico audio: Para volver a conectar el periférico del sistema, mantener pulsada la tecla “” durante unos 2 segundos. Atención: Escuchar otros aparatos no debe influir en la conducción del vehículo, esto último tiene la prioridad absoluta. 29 13. BATERIA 13.1. Instalación de la batería La batería se debe instalar en el Basic kit. Consultar las instrucciones del Basic kit específicas para su casco para instalar correctamente la batería. 13.2. Advertencias acerca del uso de las baterías recargables El dispositivo se alimenta con una batería recargable. Las baterías nuevas alcanzan las mejores prestaciones sólo después de cargarse / descargarse completamente dos o tres veces. La batería puede cargarse y descargarse varias veces, pero con el uso se gasta. Cuando los tiempos de conversación constante y de espera se reducen más de lo normal, significa que es necesario cambiar la batería. 13.3. Recargar la batería Antes de utilizar por primera vez el dispositivo N-Com, cargar completamente la batería durante unas 10 horas por lo menos. Para obtener los mejores resultados con la batería, se recomienda, las primeras veces que se recarga, realizar ciclos completos de carga. Después será posible recargar la batería durante menos tiempo. Cuando sea posible, se recomienda realizar un ciclo completo de carga. 1) Conectar el cargador de baterías a la corriente eléctrica 2) Enchufar el conector del cargador en el conector correspondiente dotado con el casco. 3) Terminada la carga, desconectar el conector y desenchufar el cargador de la corriente eléctrica (un ciclo completo de carga dura 3 horas) 13.4. Señal de batería sin carga El sistema, durante el funcionamiento, señala cuándo la batería se está recargando, entrando en “Reserva”. Cuando la carga de la batería dura menos de 1 hora de autonomía, las teclas “” y “” comienzan a parpadear para señalar que entra en “Reserva” El estado de reserva se indica con 3 señales acústicas consecutivas 29 13. 30 Cuando la batería está en “Reserva” el sistema se apaga automáticamente si durante el funcionamiento non se pulsa nunguna tecla en 30 minutos. El apagado se indica mediante una serie de señales acústicas dentro del casco. Esta operación permite, si se deja el casco encendido, disponer siempre de una pequeña reserva de energía cuando se vuelva a utilizar. 14. MANTENIMIENTO El producto N-Com no requiere de operaciones específicas de mantenimiento. En caso de haber utilizado el sistema bajo la lluvia, desmontar la e-box y secarla con aire caliente. Secar las partes exteriores mojadas del casco, actuar con cuidado en la zona de los contactos. Si el sistema se mojara en varias ocasiones, pudiera oxidarse lo que dañaría los contactos eléctricos. En estos casos se recomienda limpiar bien los contactos fijados a la calota y los de la e-box con alcohol o antioxidante. 15. RESET DEL SISTEMA Si el sistema se bloqueara, sin responder a los controles, extraer la e-box del casco y volver a colocarla (cap.3) Nota: Esta operación no elimina los acoplamientos con los dispostivos Bluetooth ni las programaciones del sistema. 16. GARANTÍA LIMITADA Con este CERTIFICADO DE GARANTÍA LIMITADA, Nolan® garantiza al comprador que el producto, en el momento de la compra, está exento de defectos por materiales y de fabricación. La invitamos a: • Leer las advertencias para la seguridad y el uso correcto. • Tener en consideración los términos y condiciones de la garantía. • Conservar el recibo original de la compra. Será necesario exhibirlo en caso de reparaciones bajo garantía. En estos casos, el cliente deberá enviar el producto al vendedor donde realizó la compra. 30 Cuando la batería está en “Reserva” el sistema se apaga automáticamente si durante el funcionamiento non se pulsa nunguna tecla en 30 minutos. El apagado se indica mediante una serie de señales acústicas dentro del casco. Esta operación permite, si se deja el casco encendido, disponer siempre de una pequeña reserva de energía cuando se vuelva a utilizar. 14. MANTENIMIENTO El producto N-Com no requiere de operaciones específicas de mantenimiento. En caso de haber utilizado el sistema bajo la lluvia, desmontar la e-box y secarla con aire caliente. Secar las partes exteriores mojadas del casco, actuar con cuidado en la zona de los contactos. Si el sistema se mojara en varias ocasiones, pudiera oxidarse lo que dañaría los contactos eléctricos. En estos casos se recomienda limpiar bien los contactos fijados a la calota y los de la e-box con alcohol o antioxidante. 15. RESET DEL SISTEMA Si el sistema se bloqueara, sin responder a los controles, extraer la e-box del casco y volver a colocarla (cap.3) Nota: Esta operación no elimina los acoplamientos con los dispostivos Bluetooth ni las programaciones del sistema. 16. GARANTÍA LIMITADA Con este CERTIFICADO DE GARANTÍA LIMITADA, Nolan® garantiza al comprador que el producto, en el momento de la compra, está exento de defectos por materiales y de fabricación. La invitamos a: • Leer las advertencias para la seguridad y el uso correcto. • Tener en consideración los términos y condiciones de la garantía. • Conservar el recibo original de la compra. Será necesario exhibirlo en caso de reparaciones bajo garantía. En estos casos, el cliente deberá enviar el producto al vendedor donde realizó la compra.

Cobertura de la garantía Si se verificara algún defecto cubierto por la garantía durante el plazo establecido por el certificado de garantía limitada, 2 (dos) años a partir de la fecha de compra indicada en el comprobante, Nolan® deberá, mediante las redes de distribución pertinentes y una vez verificado el defecto, reparar o sustituir el producto defectuoso. Nolan® suministrará todo el material y la mano de obra necesaria para solucionar dicho defecto, a excepción de que el daño haya sido causado por una de las voces mencionadas en el párrafo siguiente “Exclusiones y Limitaciones de la Cobertura”. 16.2. Exclusiones y limitaciones de la cobertura Esta garantía cubre solamente los defectos por materiales o de fabricación. Nolan® no será responsable por defectos del producto atribuibles en todo o en parte alguna a cualquier otra causa, comprendida y no solo limitada a: a) Defectos o daños causados por el uso del producto bajo condiciones diferentes a las normales. b) Daños causados por el uso inadecuado y no conforme con el normal funcionamiento según las instrucciones de uso y mantenimento indicadas por Nolan® c) Deterioro o desgaste normal de las partes internas y externas; d) Cualquier daño causado por un accidente; e) Cualquier cambio o modificación aportados al casco o al sistema N-com por parte del usuario o de terceros; f) Variación de color o daños causados por la exposición a productos químicos o dañinos; g) Uso de accesorios incompatibles no incluidos en la gama de productos N-Com. h) Además, la garantía no cubre los defectos del producto derivados por hechos fortuitos, modificaciones o adaptaciones, causas de fuerza mayor o daños generados por el contacto con líquidos. i) Las partes internas del casco no son ni pueden ser impermeables y la exposición inadecuada a la lluvia, humedad, derrame de líquidos o alimentos puede generar daños en los dispositivos electrónicos del N-COM. Nolan no será responsable por tales daños. j) No están incluidas en la presente garantía las partes de consumo consideradas sensibles al desgaste o deterioro, por ejemplo, la batería recargable y los cables de conexión entre los diferentes sistemas N-Com o entre los sistemas N-Com y otros dispositivos. 31 16.1. Nolan® no podrá ser considerado responsable por daños accidentales o consecuentes (incluso, sin limitaciones de ningún tipo en lesiones a personas) causados por el incumplimiento de las obligaciones derivadas de esta garantía hacia los productos Nolan®. 16.3. Specifically: • Set your cell phone on automatic answer (see the cell phone instructions to do this). • If your cell phone is not equipped with this function, first stop your vehicle in a safe area, in compliance with Traffic Regulations and then answer the call. • Do not make any calls while riding. 38 1.4. Interferences All phones and devices with wireless signal transmission are subject to interferences that may affect the performance of the device connected to them. These interferences are not ascribable to a defect of the N-Com system. 1.5. Appropriate use Use the device only in the normal position, as described in the product documentation. Do not attempt to disassemble, tamper with or modify any part of the N-Com system. Caution: Adjust the volume of the N-Com system (where provided) and of the audio sources connected to it before you use the system on the road. Interferences All phones and devices with wireless signal transmission are subject to interferences that may affect the performance of the device connected to them. These interferences are not ascribable to a defect of the N-Com system. 1.5. Appropriate use Use the device only in the normal position, as described in the product documentation. Do not attempt to disassemble, tamper with or modify any part of the N-Com system. Caution: Adjust the volume of the N-Com system (where provided) and of the audio sources connected to it before you use the system on the road. To prevent the e-box from accidentally coming off the helmet, you can use the “E-box safety block” as illustrated in (Fig. 7)., being careful to push it all the way in its housing. To remove the “E-box safety block”, lift the front part as shown in (Fig. 8). Every command is confirmed by a special beep, which varies depending on the requested function. This way you can use all the functions with the helmet raised. The type of command given to the system depends on how long the button is pressed. Turning on Press the “on” button and keep it pressed for about 4 seconds until the LED lights up and a beep is heard in the earphone Turning off Press the “on” button and keep it pressed for about 4 seconds until the LED turns off and you hear a beep. Raising the Volume Press the “” button briefly to raise the volume. The maximum volume is signaled by a double beep. Lower volume Press the “” button briefly to lower the volume. The minimum volume is signaled by a double beep Warning: Listening to other equipment should not interfere with driving the vehicle, which must be the top priority at all times. Carry out all operations on the electronic equipment and on the N-Com system with the vehicle stopped, in compliance with Traffic Regulations. OPERATION WITH A BLUETOOTH CELL PHONE N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 is equipped with Bluetooth HSP (Headset) and HFP (Handsfree) profiles for connection to Bluetooth cell phones and other devices featuring one of these profiles. In a cell phone has both profiles, the system automatically chooses which one to use. In order for the Bluetooth Kit2 system to work with a cell phone, the latter has to be first affiliated with the N-Com system. 5.1. Affiliation with a Bluetooth telephone (or other Bluetooth devices) In order for two Bluetooth devices to communicate with each other, they must be affiliated, in other words they have to be introduced to one another. The N-Com system is recognized by the cell phone as a Bluetooth earpiece. Please refer to your cell phone manual, the section on affiliation of Bluetooth devices, in order to verify the affiliation procedure as it changes depending on the specific model used. After identifying your cell phone’s affiliation procedure, perform the affiliation with Bluetooth Kit2. 1. Make sure that Bluetooth Kit2 is turned off 2. Press the middle button “on”. After the first 4 seconds, the system turns on. Keep this button pressed for an additional 4 seconds until the LEDs start to flash quickly and a sharp beep is heard, indicating the affiliation mode. 3. While the helmet is in affiliation mode, search for the Bluetooth devices according to the procedure specific for your cell phone. 4. The name “N-Com 2.x”, followed by the manufacturer’s identification data, will be displayed on the cell phone, in the list of available devices. 5. Select the N-Com device. 44 hearing. 5. Turn off both the cell phone and the Bluetooth Kit2 system, then turn them both on again in order to save the affiliation data N.B.: If the Bluetooth Kit2 device does not connect automatically the next time it is turned on, perform the first connection from the cell phone, selecting the N-Com device from the list and pressing “Connect”. This way, every time you turn on the Bluetooth Kit2 it will automatically search for the cell phone. N.B.: The affiliation is stored in the helmet and in the cell phone and it is not lost when the two devices are turned off. As a result it needs to be carried out only once. N.B.: The N-Com system can memorize various types of Bluetooth devices (in addition to a helmet for interphone communication). Consequently, N-Com can be affiliated with multiple cell phones (or Bluetooth GPS navigators, Bluetooth radio and so on) without having to repeat the affiliation procedure. N-Com will look for the last 3 affiliated devices in sequence, and it will connect to the first available device. If the device previously affiliated and connected is not included in the list of the last three or does not connect automatically, keep the “on” button pressed for 2 seconds (beep) or connect by using the cell phone. 5.2. Affiliation reset function You can remove all affiliated devices from the system memory. This operation is not reversible; right after resetting, you will have to repeat the affiliation procedure for the cell phone (or for other compatible Bluetooth devices). To erase all devices previously affiliated, proceed as follows: • Put the system in affiliation mode (press the “on” button until the LEDs start to flash quickly). 45 6. Connection occurs automatically when the system is turned on. Nevertheless, you can connect or disconnect from the helmet (see the commands table below) or from the cell phone. Answering a call Press any button briefly when you hear the ring tone. Hanging up/rejecting a call To end a call or reject an incoming call, press the “on” button and keep it pressed for about 2 seconds (until you hear a beep). 47 Warning: All laws in force regulating road traffic must be complied with. While driving, hands must be used exclusively to operate the vehicle. All procedures on the N-Com system must be carried out with the vehicle stopped. 6. INTERPHONE VIA CABLE In order to use the N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 in interphone mode via cable, use the Intercom Wire (sold separately), which connects two helmets. • Equip the pilot’s helmet with the Basic Kit and the Bluetooth Kit2. • Equip the passenger’s helmet with the Basic Kit (inserting the basic electronic card in the relevant housing). • Connect the pilot’s helmet to the passenger’s helmet using the Intercom Wire as shown below: ¾ Connector A (smaller one, L-shaped) of the pilot’s helmet (equipped with Bluetooth kit2). ¾ Connector B (larger one) of the passenger’s helmet. • Turn on the Bluetooth e-box: interphone communication between the two helmets will already be active • You can switch the interphone mode on and off by pressing the “on” key briefly. 7. INTERPHONE VIA BLUETOOTH To use the N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 as a wireless interphone, both helmets, the pilot’s and the passenger’s, need to be fitted with the Bluetooth kit. 47 Warning: All laws in force regulating road traffic must be complied with. While driving, hands must be used exclusively to operate the vehicle. All procedures on the N-Com system must be carried out with the vehicle stopped. 6. INTERPHONE VIA CABLE In order to use the N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 in interphone mode via cable, use the Intercom Wire (sold separately), which connects two helmets. • Equip the pilot’s helmet with the Basic Kit and the Bluetooth Kit2. • Equip the passenger’s helmet with the Basic Kit (inserting the basic electronic card in the relevant housing). • Connect the pilot’s helmet to the passenger’s helmet using the Intercom Wire as shown below: ¾ Connector A (smaller one, L-shaped) of the pilot’s helmet (equipped with Bluetooth kit2). ¾ Connector B (larger one) of the passenger’s helmet. • Turn on the Bluetooth e-box: interphone communication between the two helmets will already be active • You can switch the interphone mode on and off by pressing the “on” key briefly. 7. INTERPHONE VIA BLUETOOTH To use the N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 as a wireless interphone, both helmets, the pilot’s and the passenger’s, need to be fitted with the Bluetooth kit.
48 N.B.: The Bluetooth kit2 system is also compatible with a Nolan helmet equipped with Bluetooth kit or Bluetooth kit2. The affiliation will not be successful unless this is done. 3) After a few seconds the helmets recognize one another, a beep confirms the successful affiliation and the interphone communication is activated. 4) Turn off both systems and turn them back on in order to store the affiliation data. In the event that this operation is not successful, turn off both helmets and repeat the operation starting from point 1). N.B.: In case a cell phone was already affiliated prior to the affiliation of the Bluetooth Kit systems, make sure that this affiliation is still working. Otherwise, repeat the affiliation with the cell phone. All affiliations are stored even when the helmets are turned off, and they are maintained until the helmets are turned back on. As a result, the affiliation procedure must be repeated only when systems other than the affiliated ones are used. 7.2. Interphone functions via Bluetooth Turn on both Bluetooth kit2 systems. When the Pilot’s helmet turns on, it searches for the passenger’s one, automatically establishing an interphone communication mode. 48 N.B.: The Bluetooth kit2 system is also compatible with a Nolan helmet equipped with Bluetooth kit or Bluetooth kit2. In order for two Bluetooth Kits to communicate with each other, they must be affiliated first, in other words they must be introduced to one another. 7.1. Affiliating two Bluetooth Kits 1) Put both Bluetooth kit2 systems in affiliation mode (starting with the system turned off, press the “on” button and keep it pressed until both LEDs start to flash quickly) as described in chapter 5.1 2) When both helmets are in affiliation mode briefly press the “on” button of the Pilot’s helmet. The affiliation will not be successful unless this is done. 3) After a few seconds the helmets recognize one another, a beep confirms the successful affiliation and the interphone communication is activated. 4) Turn off both systems and turn them back on in order to store the affiliation data. In the event that this operation is not successful, turn off both helmets and repeat the operation starting from point 1). N.B.: In case a cell phone was already affiliated prior to the affiliation of the Bluetooth Kit systems, make sure that this affiliation is still working. Otherwise, repeat the affiliation with the cell phone. All affiliations are stored even when the helmets are turned off, and they are maintained until the helmets are turned back on. As a result, the affiliation procedure must be repeated only when systems other than the affiliated ones are used. 7.2. Interphone functions via Bluetooth Turn on both Bluetooth kit2 systems. When the Pilot’s helmet turns on, it searches for the passenger’s one, automatically establishing an interphone communication mode.
49 N.B.: Some Bluetooth devices already connected to the system may automatically block the connection described above. In this case, proceed with a manual connection, pressing the “on” button briefly. You may turn the interphone connection on and off at any time by pressing the “on” button briefly on any one of the two helmets. N.B.: It may take a few seconds for the Bluetooth kit2 to find the other system, depending on the connections that may be already active and the Bluetooth devices already present. After pressing the “on” button, wait for the search to end. Affiliation with A2DP devices In order to affiliate a device equipped with Bluetooth A2DP protocol, proceed as for the affiliation of a cell phone (Chapter 5.1). In case a code is required, enter “0000”. 49 N.B.: Some Bluetooth devices already connected to the system may automatically block the connection described above. In this case, proceed with a manual connection, pressing the “on” button briefly. You may turn the interphone connection on and off at any time by pressing the “on” button briefly on any one of the two helmets. N.B.: It may take a few seconds for the Bluetooth kit2 to find the other system, depending on the connections that may be already active and the Bluetooth devices already present. After pressing the “on” button, wait for the search to end. Operation with A2DP receiver When you first use it, connect the receiver (previously affiliated) according to the method provided for the receiver and start audio reproduction. Operation of A2DP receiver + Interphone Bluetooth wireless interphone An A2DP receiver and another N-Com system via Bluetooth (interphone mode) cannot be connected at the same time. • Stop the Bluetooth interphone mode manually (press “on” briefly) before you start the A2DP receiver. • To restore the Bluetooth interphone mode, stop playing music (Press “” for 2 seconds), then manually connect the interphone (press “on” briefly) Interphone via cable If you connect a second helmet via cable in interphone mode, the person wearing this helmet can listen to music played by the receiver (audio in Mono mode), 9. SATELLITE NAVIGATORS Nolan’s N-Com communication system is compatible with the most popular satellite navigators for motorcycles. Connection with a satellite navigator can occur via cable (through the special Multimedia Wire) or via Bluetooth. For connection via Bluetooth, affiliate the GPS device with the Bluetooth kit2 by following the same procedure as for Bluetooth cell phones (see chapter 5.1). Then connect the navigator to the Bluetooth kit2. N.B.: If the navigator can be connected to a Bluetooth cell phone, it will be possible to receive the phone call audio directly to the connected Bluetooth kit2. With this configuration, calls must be answered from the Navigator. 51 Warning: All laws in force regulating road traffic must be complied with. 52 10. AUDIO REPRODUCTION MODE: MONO / STEREO The N-Com Bluetooth kit2 system can work in both Mono and Stereo audio modes. Bluetooth kit2 automatically recognizes the type of Basic Kit being used (Basic Kit or Basic kit2) and if the type of connection cable to external audio sources is the mono or stereo type. The Bluetooth kit2 is pre-set to receive stereo cables, nevertheless when it is turned on a check is carried out on the type of connected cable. If you plan on connecting a Mono cable, you need to connect this cable before you turn on the system; under this condition the system will work in Mono mode. In the event that Mono cables (Mobile wire or Multimedia wire) are always used, you can pre-set the system so that it always works with mono cables. Pre-selecting the Mono cable Put the system in affiliation mode by pressing the “on” button and keeping it pressed until the LEDs start flashing (starting with the system turned off). Press the “” button for 2 seconds (beep). Please also refer to chapter 11 for additional information on the types of cable that can be connected. You can listen in Stereo mode with the following configurations: • Bluetooth kit2 + Basic Kit2 + Multimedia Wire2 • Bluetooth kit2 + Basic Kit2 + Bluetooth receiver equipped with A2DP protocol. In all other configurations, listening will be in mono mode. A second helmet connected in interphone mode via cable or Bluetooth will be able to hear the audio coming from the pilot in mono mode. 52 10. The battery can be recharged and left to run out several times, however it does lose some of its efficiency with use. When continuous conversation and waiting times are significantly reduced compared to normal conditions, the battery must be replaced. . 13.3. Charging the battery Before using the N-Com device for the first time, recharge the battery completely for at least 10 hours. To obtain best performances from the battery, it is recommended to completely recharge the battery the first few times. Afterwards, you can recharge the battery for shorter periods. Whenever possible, it is best to recharge the battery completely. 1) Connect the battery charger to the mains. 2) Plug in the battery charger connector in the corresponding connector on the helmet (Fig. 11). 3) When the recharging is finished, disconnect the connector and unplug the battery charger from the mains (complete recharging cycle about 3 hours). 13.4. Battery discharged signal When turned on, the system signals when the battery is running down by switching to the “Reserve” mode. When the battery charging power falls below 1 hour of operation, the buttons “” and “” start to flash in order to indicate that the system is in “Reserve” mode. Three consecutive beeps also signal the reserve mode. When the battery operates in “Reserve”, the system automatically turns itself off in case no button is pressed for 30 minutes. The shutting off is signaled by a series of beeps in the helmet. This function makes it possible to always have a small reserve of energy to use it again in case you forget to turn off your helmet. 58 13.2. In this case, it is advisable to clean the contacts of the connector secured to the shell and of the e-box with alcohol or anti-rust products. 15. RESETTING THE SYSTEM In case the system locks up and no longer carries out the commands, you need to remove the e-box from the helmet and to reinstall it (chapter 3). N.B.: This operation does not erase the affiliations with Bluetooth devices or the system settings. 16. LIMITED WARRANTY With this LIMITED WARRANTY CERTIFICATE, Nolan® warrants this Product to be free from defects in material and workmanship at the time of its original purchase by the buyer. Consequently, any improper exposure to rain, humidity, food spillages or other liquids can result in damages to the N-Com electronic devices, damages for which Nolan shall not be responsible. j) This warranty does not include those parts subject to wear and tear such as, for example, the rechargeable battery and the cables used for connection between the various N-Com systems or between the N-Com systems and other devices. k) Since Nolan® does not supply the system on which the cell phones work, it shall not be responsible for the operation, availability, coverage, services or range pertaining to the aforementioned system. l) Whenever the product is used in conjunction with accessories or equipment not supplied by Nolan®, Nolan® shall not guarantee proper operation of the product/device combination, nor will it accept requests for repairs or replacements under warranty in case the product is used in such a way. 60 in those cases where the damage is caused by one of the items listed in the following paragraph “Exclusions and limitations of the Coverage”. 16.2. Exclusions and limitations of the coverage This warranty only covers defects in materials and manufacturing. Nolan® shall not be considered responsible for product defects that can be attributed, either partially or in full, to any other cause, including but not limited to: a) Defects or damages resulting from using the Product in conditions that differ from the usual ones. b) Damages caused by improper use not conforming with normal operation in accordance with the product operating and maintenance instructions provided by Nolan®. c) Negligence and normal wear of internal and external parts. d) Any damage caused by an accident; e) Any change or modification made to the helmet or to the N-com system by the user or by third parties. f) Color changes or damages caused by exposure to harmful chemical products. g) The use of incompatible accessories that are not part of the N-Com product range. h) Moreover, the warranty does not cover product defects caused by fortuitous events, modifications or adjustments, causes of force majeur or damages deriving from the product coming in contact with liquids. i) The internal helmet components are not and cannot be waterproof. Consequently, any improper exposure to rain, humidity, food spillages or other liquids can result in damages to the N-Com electronic devices, damages for which Nolan shall not be responsible. j) This warranty does not include those parts subject to wear and tear such as, for example, the rechargeable battery and the cables used for connection between the various N-Com systems or between the N-Com systems and other devices. k) Since Nolan® does not supply the system on which the cell phones work, it shall not be responsible for the operation, availability, coverage, services or range pertaining to the aforementioned system. l) Whenever the product is used in conjunction with accessories or equipment not supplied by Nolan®, Nolan® shall not guarantee proper operation of the product/device combination, nor will it accept requests for repairs or replacements under warranty in case the product is used in such a way.
61 m) Nolan® shall not be responsible in case the product presents limited capabilities due to the operating mode of cell phones or of other accessories or equipment not supplied by Nolan®. n) Tampering with the internal electronic card or with other parts of the N-Com system shall invalidate the warranty. o) Moreover, the defects covered by this warranty do not include all those specific and subjective situations that may come up during the active use of the helmet such as, for example, comfort problems while riding or aerodynamic noises. Nolan® shall not be held responsible in any case for incidental or consequential damages (including, without any limitation whatsoever, damages to one or more persons) resulting from non-fulfillment of the obligations arising from this warranty as it pertains to Nolan® products. 16.3. Validity of this limited warranty This warranty is valid only if the enclosed warranty form is duly and completely filled out with the following information: 1) Product name. 2) Name and stamp of the authorized dealer. 3) Product purchase date. 4) Buyer’s name and address. Nolan® reserves itself the right to not carry out repairs under warranty if the aforementioned information is removed or modified after the original purchase of the product from the dealer. 16.4. Procedure for the forwarding of claims To forward a claim covered by this warranty, the buyer has to directly notify the dealer where the helmet was purchased with regards to the defect, presenting at the same time the defective product, a copy of the sales receipt and the Warranty registration form, duly filled out as instructed above. PRIOR TO CONTACTING THE DEALER, WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU READ CAREFULLY THE USER MANUAL ENCLOSED WITH THE PRODUCT. Therefore, in case the product or one of its components is replaced, this does not initiate a new warranty period, as the purchase date of the original product shall be taken into account for warranty purposes. Only for repairs or replacement of electronic components, in the event that Nolan® proceeds to repairing or replacing the product, said product shall enjoy a warranty period equal to the residual portion of the original warranty or ninety (90) days from the repair date (the longer period being considered). The repair or replacement can be carried out even with regenerated components with equivalent functions. The replaced parts or components shall become property of Nolan®.
